WHAT TO EXPECT
For Everybody Camp Now, come to camp with the idea in mind that you’ll be relaxing, meeting likeminded folks who are just as excited and maybe as shy as you are, getting your hands dirty making something, and challenging yourself to build or do new things with new friends!
It’s all super low pressure! There’s plenty of space to explore on your own- or you can just dive right in to activities, group hikes, or fun spaces to connect with others.
CAMPING INFORMATION
For Spring 22, we’ll be “car camping” in a large group site with access to basic amenities including running water, power (up to 550 watts), showers, and ice at the gift shop.
When you arrive at Palmetto State Park, you’ll check-in at the Headquarters as part of the Everybody Camp Now party and they will direct you to the group site. NOTE: Campers will have to pay a $3 entrance fee to enter the park.
Bring as much stuff as you want to be comfortable! Just remember you’ll be packing up the next day.
When you arrive at the group site, you’ll look for the Everybody Camp Now banner and check-in with the Camp Director Alex!
Have a look at our camping checklist here to see what you will want to bring...
cHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT TIMES
Check-in Begins at 5pm on Friday. We suggest arriving between 5pm and 6pm to set up your tent space. If you’re late you can always have another Camper show you the ropes.
Check-out on Saturday (26th) at the campsite is at 1pm, so we’ll have time for an AM hike in Palmetto before heading to the Ottine Mineral Springs. Camp officially ends at 4:30pm on the Saturday.
rESTROOMS
Restrooms and showers are a short walk away from our camping sites, and the Everybody Camp Now HQ will also have a composting toilet available for folks who don’t want to use public restrooms. Please keep in mind it’s pretty small though.
FOOD AND DRINK
Dinner on Friday and Breakfast on Saturday is provided by Everybody Camp Now and are served at fixed times to encourage community building and collaborative meal making between campers.

ACTIVITIES AND TIMES
Activities are split between traditional camp activities, and collaborative group experiences that explore our connectivity to nature and encourage us to look at nature without having to know everything about it all the time.
We want to be REAL clear on this- Everybody Camp Now is all about moving at the pace you’re comfortable with. You can choose your own itinerary for activities, and you are not required to do anything!
Collaborative Cook
Our opening activity for Spring 22 will be a collaborative cook. Teams will split into groups and work together to make dinner using a recipe and a set of ingredients.
Jamboree/Scary Stories
Once the sun goes down, campers can hang out on their own, chat with friends, play music together, or participate in a scary story contest around the campfire!
Hike+Soak
Our main activity for Spring 22 will be a Hike+Soak with a 3 mile hike in Palmetto State Park followed by a soak in a private hot spring at 1pm for 3.5 HRS. The terrain at Palmetto State Park is mostly flat, and there are trail ends along each mile if you want to stop/start at any point.
