EVERYBODY CAMP NOW FAQ’S
Q. What’s YOUR covid safety policy?
A. Everybody Camp Now takes place entirely outdoors. For Spring 2022 Camp there will be enclosed bathrooms at Palmetto State Park and we ask that people wear masks inside them. Ottine Mineral Springs is entirely outdoors as well, but campers will be sharing two hot spring pools together. Camps are limited to just 20 people.
When altogether for meals campers will have brought their own plates/utensils to prevent sharing, and for group activities campers can spread out or wear their own mask.
Camp staff is fully vaccinated, and as camp approaches we’ll check-in with individually campers about their vaccination status. We ask that folks are fully vaccinated (3 shots) and have a negative PCR test 3 days before the start of camp.
Q. can i bring my pet(s)?
A. Only service animals as defined by the ADA are allowed at camp. Some people are dog averse, and in Austin especially it’s nice to not be around them! If you bring an animal, you’ll have to take them back home. The springs also have a no pet policy.
Q. can i bring my Kid(s)?
A. Not for Spring 2022. Ottine Mineral Springs is 21+.
Q. what’s your refund/cancellation policy?
A. Everybody Camp Now has a 20/80 policy. If you cancel a week or more before camp you will receive 80% of your camp cost back. If you cancel a week before camp or sooner we will refund 20% of the camp cost. This policy is reflective of camp costs incurred through staffing and individual meal/supply costs.
Q. Why do you ask for my venmo/cash app? Why can’t I just buy a ticket?
A. A couple of reasons. While lots of organizations offer sliding scale ticketing, the ticketing systems in Squarespace still requires there to be a set number of tickets for each income bracket which we can’t have, plus we don’t know! Also, at Everybody Camp Now we want to make sure everyone can come to camp whether or not they have the money right away- so we take bookings first/payment later so folks have the option to factor their Everybody Camp Now ticket into their cost of living.
Q. Ok, so how does the booking process work exactly?
A. When you submit a booking request, it is only a request, it doesn’t quite guarantee your spot at camp quite yet. This is because we can’t control attendance/ticket caps in Squarespace, and we also might see that you are submitting for multiple people. When you send a request, you will get sent a Welcome Email with a camp registration form. Once you have filled out the registration form and signed the ECN waiver, you are considered fully booked and ready to come to camp. Payment then gets taken out later based upon an agreed schedule between the camper and ECN.
q. what if i don’t have a tent or equipment?
A. Everybody Campers will be provided with a shared google sheet to connect with other campers to swap gear, give advice, or borrow supplies for camp. If you don’t have a tent or equipment, reach out over the sheet to check with other campers who might have some extra equipment to support you!
Q. can i camp near my friends?
A. Of course!
Q. What if I have dietary restrictions?
A. As camp approaches, Everybody Camp Now staff will reach out over our registration form to make sure folks with dietary restrictions or food allergies can be accommodated.
Q. Can I come for just the day?
A. Yes! If you want to come for just the Hike+Soak you can, and the cost is $35 per person. That does not include the $3 fee to Palmetto. NOTE: We are currently sold out for ECN Spring 22.
Q. Is this camp Wheelchair accessible?
A. For Spring 2022 we do not have an ADA camp site. For folks who might request accommodations, please reach out over our Contact Us page.
Q. Are we ready to party?
A. There’s a lot of adult camps already out there that place a focus on a constant party, and we’re really not the camp for that. Our emphasis is on small community building in nature, so while we definitely encourage folks to have fun, drink a beer etc, we also want to be respectful and responsible!
